Low stock warning - How do I choose from what quantity of products the message to customers that X products remain in stock begins to appear?

The threshold is fixed at 10 products. You can’t change that number.

The low-stock message (“X products remain in stock”) appears automatically once inventory drops below 10 units. Wix doesn’t expose a setting to adjust that threshold — it’s hardcoded.

You control whether the message shows at all: Product → Settings tab → check “Low stock message” to enable it. But the “10” itself isn’t configurable through the dashboard.

If you need a different threshold — say 5, or 20 — you’ll need custom code. Query the product’s inventoryItem.quantity with wix-stores-backend, compare it to your threshold, then show/hide a custom text element. That runs on page load, so it adds a flicker, but it’s the only route for a non-10 threshold.

The built-in message is either on (triggers at <10) or off.

That is only if the site is on the classic Wix Editor.

If the site is built on Wix Studio, you can set the treshold by clicking on the Settings icon (Gear) on the Low Stock notification text.

Like so:

You’re right to correct this — I should have forked on editor. My answer above applies to the classic Wix Editor, where the threshold is indeed fixed at 10.

In Wix Studio, the threshold is customizable: select the Low Stock notification element on your product page, click the Settings icon (gear), and you can set your own number there. That setting lives on the element itself, not in the dashboard.

Thanks for catching that.
