Manual Horizontal Sub-Menus

Hi there,

I’m building my portfolio site. Under my Photography section, I’d like to separate my photos by category using the sub-menu option, but I don’t like that it’s a horizontal menu but a vertical sub-menu. Does anyone know how to make the sub-menu open horizontally too, so it’s under the main menu but spreads out horizontally?

So far I’ve tried making manual buttons underneath for all categories and making those buttons behave like a menu (e.g. setting hover highlight colour). But my issue is the sub-menu still pops up in the main navigation menu. Which is still useful for mobile optimisation (as I have my menu vertical, on the side), but is useless in desktop mode, where I made the manual horizontal menu.
Is there any way to disable the use of sub-menus in desktop mode, but still have it show up in mobile mode?

You can simply use text or buttons for your menu on the desktop and delete your menu. The menu on mobile will still work as expected.

Thanks for your quick response. What do you mean by delete the menu? As in delete the whole menu or just the sub-menu?

@sameerhn Yeah, there’s not much of a point in keeping your menu unless you want the submenu. Not using it gives you more freedom.
