Hi All, After chatting with Brett I am thinking of starting a tribe for Marketing tools- these would include Shoutout, Social Posts, analytics tools, invoices etc. The goal would be keep abreast of new products and features, liaise with the product team, coordinate feature requests, arrange periodic online chats and possibly create a focus group for the product teams if needed. I use the marketing tools a lot but feel like the tools can be improved and would like to have a positive channel for getting that user feedback to the product manager and provide an interactive way for everyone to participate. Although I envisage the tribe being open to everyone, I’d like to have a few people who could help me coordinate feedback, feature requests and webinars/online chats. Anyone else interested in joining? Who is in?

Thanks Janika, Ilene and Fabio. Yeah! I really think this is an important area for clients- especially smaller businesses who use these tools and if they are glitchy or don’t meet their needs it can color their impression of the whole platform, so I also want to help to make it better. Ilene would definitely be interested in the design tribe too.

I have a zillion years of strategic marketing/business consulting predating Wix – predating the Internet, even – and started building websites on WP for my marketing/business consulting clients. I’ve always specialized in launching new microenterprises (1-10 people) and solopreneurs, mainly women-owned businesses. With Wix, I continue to specialize in launching bootstappers, emphasizing that a website is the centerpiece of their MARKETING program, not just “another pretty face.” I have a number of geek associates who do things beyond my technical skills, while I concentrate on the website marketing plan that will help them get RESULTS. Our policy is to encourage them to start small, test the waters, then expand. We charge very little compared to most Wix Design Experts for our services and are happy to be able to do so.
How about market research? Targeting? Paid ads? Blog tours? Guest posts? Cross-referrals? Opt-in giveaways. Local listings - Yelp, Google Business, White Pages, Angie’s List, mailing swaps, referral %s, etc. Coupons. Discounts. Is the group going to focus only on technical marketing for our customers?
Should have noted I do all the things on the #marketingtribe list, or have someone to do them, but think the list is very limited. There are a lot more things we can consider when building websites for our customers that affect how we set them up, what they say, even which upgrade they need.
This is going to be amazing!

So when you log in to your accounts this morning, on the dashboard >marketing - you’ll notice a new layout for marketing tools and video maker for promotions. This was introduced in beta a while back and now it looks like it is back in a new format. Check it out for your customers.
