Anybody had this issue?
I am redesigning my page and all of a sudden the background of my member’s bar becomes an ugly black square - no chance to get rid of it, unless I restore from history from way earlier (and loose all my work…)
Here it is with the black square:
Anybody an idea why this happens? It occured while I was editing something else (not the menu), went on “Preview” in the editor and there it was. It also appears on the live site.

Then again, maybe someone here in the community has an idea - maybe happened to them before. But do you want to wait?
I sent a ticket to customer care. Let’s see what they can come up with. Am not in a hurry.

Got the following answer:
" I was able to recreate that the vertical container box is displaying as a background.
After scanning the elements’ design colors, including the site colors, this is not expected behavior. "
I worked around by adding another box with the color of the page background. It sort of works, but is propably not a perfect solution.

So at the end the bug has been fixed?
No. It’s still there but I created a workaround as described.
A further comment was:
" After reviewing your site, I did notice that there are lines of custom code. As mentioned, this is not expected behavior but you will have to comb over the code to see where the black is coming from and affecting “container1”. "
I researched my code and could not find any reference to an element with the name “container1”.
I’m curious… post the URL and explain where and how I can see this problem.

I did not update the live site yet with my workaround, so you can still see the bug as it shows on the first screenshot at the beginning of this forumentry.

OK, so I played around a bit. I moved the elements out of the container, and I’m not sure why, but the container shows up like this:
I then dragged down from the point I marked on the above screenshot till it filled the container. And alas, the container box is now filled as it should be:
Doesn’t seem as if it has anything to do with Velo or custom code.
Hey Yisrael. No, it has nothing to do with custom code. Thats why I dont understand it.
What you did is exactly what I did to solve my problem: The #box8 is only a workaround to cover the faulty background. I dont understand why the background of the member card all of a sudden turned black.
I mean, I can live with this workaround, it’s just strange.
Aha - I didn’t understand what the work around was.
Let me look a little closer.
In the members bar is an element called #container1. This element can not be changed by me as far as I understand. It is created by Wix member functionality I think.

Something seems off to me - as if the Member Bar was somehow corrupted.
I’m sending this to QA for evaluation.
I would also suggest deleting (or perhaps just disabling) the custom code in the Header. It might be affecting the page render.
