Hi there, I am new to Editor X and I am trying to establish a simple member forum. This has been easy enough to do but I am confused about how Editor X handles Member Only menu items. Can someone help me figure out how to show a menu of Member Only content ONLY when the member actually logged on?
The behaviour I am seeing right now is that the menu is static and shows all the member pages even to a non-Member. Then as soon as the non-member tries to use the menu, it triggers a login. What I actually want is to hide the menu until the login has been completed. Is this possible?
Thanks for your help
First, welcome to Editor X. If you haven’t checked out the Getting Started , definitely recommend going through it.
As for the question, want to make sure how the flow should work since members would probably need to try to login to be able to see the member pages. If there will be the member login bar and then once they’re logged-in, the menu is displayed, that would probably require coding.
However, you can customize the member page and member menu and those are configured to the current member so depending on the flow you want, might be able to go that route. The interface shows the classic Editor but not too dissimilar to Editor X. https://support.wix.com/en/article/site-members-customizing-your-members-area
Thanks Roberto, I appreciate the welcome and your thoughts.
Would you be able to tell me where the setting are to add pages to the Login Bar. I see some pages get populated the while others don’t but I don’t see where this is controller.
Thanks again
hi, Andrew
members menu items are being added from the members’ area pages you’ve added to your site:
