Now, as the developer, I’ve tested many things about the site but actually doing a live demo of the site with actual people is pretty useful to gaining insight on what is good and bad about the site. During this process however, only some customers experienced a 404 page error when navigating to their profile page. Upon further inspection, although the user was able to login, the ProfilePage database did not contain this customer’s details, which means it didn’t populate correctly. What’s even weirder, is that when the user logs out and logs back into the site and navigates to the same profile page, it works and the database gets populated correctly like it should. However, we don’t want to have to make our customers log out and log back into our site just to have a working profile page, because that would be inconvenient. I can’t seem to recreate this error systematically, but I did manage to have the Wix support team witness this strange glitch when screensharing with them. I was told to present my issue to you guys and see if this can be resolved by someone with more Wix Code experience!
Then sign up and try to go your profile page by clicking the ‘My Profile’ button. For some people it works and the correct page is displayed, and for others it does not show and a 404 page pops up. I have yet to find the steps toward reproducing the issue, so for now it’s a seemingly random occurrence, but it is there and it is an issue. Thank you all for your help.
I encountered this recently. the scenario is, if i setup a page protected to members only, and a user logs in and visits this member protected page. From within the member protected page if he “signs out” then I am seeing 404 error message. This doesn’t happen when we click “signout” from public access pages.
i am currently having the same issue have two member accounts finding the profile page and two accounts the 404 error message all four account were set up and logged in the same way any solutions?
