I am helping a friend with her Wix website and I was hoping if I could get some input on the best way to do it.
She would like a membership area on the site for paying members. She has 5 payment options.
She wants to collect about 30 points of data about each member.
I’m trying to figure out the best way to do the sign-up, payment and membership approval. Specifically:

With regards to table setup, should I add the 30 columns to the contact table (I assume I would have to pay $10/month for Ascend Basic to allow for more form inputs on the Sign Up form), or would I add a member info table and link the two?

Should I add the Wix pay processing for $16/month to accept credit cards (this is a bit much for this application), or, is there a better way?

How do I update the member record to show that they are now a member to give them access to the membership area? I know how to make the member area with membership privileges, but not the best way to automatically show that the paying member is now given that privilege upon payment.
Please let me know if I’m looking at this the wrong way.
