Missing Native Cookie Policy Feature

Hello,

I’m honestly quite surprised that there is no longer a native cookie policy / consent feature available in the platform.

At the moment the only option seems to be the Usercentrics integration, which requires purchasing yet another separate premium service. This feels unreasonable, especially considering that my website plan is already very basic and my agency plan is Icon.

A simple cookie notice used to be available before, and it worked perfectly fine for basic compliance needs. Removing that and replacing it with a paid third-party integration creates unnecessary friction and cost for users.

For many sites, we simply need a basic built-in cookie consent banner, not a full enterprise consent management platform.

Could you please clarify:
– Why the basic native cookie banner was removed?
– Why there is no simple built-in alternative anymore?
– Whether a basic cookie consent feature will be reintroduced?

Right now this feels like a step backwards for users who just need straightforward compliance without additional subscriptions.

Best regards,
Magnus

The CMP (Consent Management Platforms) world requires a great deal of expertise, and we chose Usercentrics as our Partner as they are global experts in this space - they support a wide range of websites and help navigate diverse, often nuanced legal requirements surrounding cookies. Their expertise meet these challenges, helping to make your clients’ sites more compliant.

The free plan has no session limit - meaning you can use it free of charge. If you need access to some of their Premium features, that’s the point you might need to upgrade.

It’s not currently planned.

There are other alternative options available in the App Market, for example:

Thanks for your answer, appriciated

It is very annoying that I have to buy another premium service, even though my site is on premium packge. I would accept using usercentric if I had full access. But their free tier is useless - to the degree that it make me angry

The user centric service is one of the worst “freemium” experience ever, it is so well designed be useless unless you upgrade.

So explain to me why my other client can use the good old cookie banner?I know the answer though.

So either you will give the user centric premium package free of charge, or new customer will be onbarded on other platform. and eventually il migrate the old customer as well.

I have always accepted your price increased, i dont even want be part of your comission offering. Keep that money and make sure we dont need pay for small garbage like this.

Im being harsh here, but your solution of this is just not acceptable.
