Hello, I am sure this is just me getting something wrong. I have posted a new post twice now but it doesn’t seem to have appeared anywhere? Post on Saturday (I think) and I reposted again about an hour ago. May be be overlong for a first post etc.?
Cheers
Peter
Sorry for the inconvenience, but various checks are performed to prevent abuse of the system. You just might be “collateral damage”.
New users are restricted from posting links, and unfortunately, code snippets often will frequently be falsely flagged for containing links. You can try to use the code block markup to help. Otherwise, you need to “break” the presumed “links” by adding a space before or after the period, or use a comma instead of a period.
Again, my apologies for the inconvenience. You will eventually be able to post normally - just be patient.
I guessed as much
However, I am up to my third attempt at the same post. Apologies if these end up on someone’s “To-Do/review” queue.
Trying to post a working solution to accessing anchors from an external URL. I think the workaround we have is neat and wanted to share. I have taken out so many things that might be considered links out of the original post. Clearly failed to find them all thus far.
If anyone is interested. Take the spaces out of that below. Add periods / full stops where appropriate. Live demonstration of accessing anchors from external URL:
eastnetworks co uk / redirect-to ? anchor=WhatWeDo

@regpeter Give it another try when you get a chance. I made an adjustment that I hope will allow you to post your article.
BTW - The most appropriate place for the post is in Tips, Tutorials, Examples .
Thank you. That’s fixed it. “Pass Anchors in external URL’s - A fix?”
