I have photos being displayed based on dataset. On desktop and tablet, the photos are resizing as they should within the layout. On mobile, however, the photo seems to blow up to full size, although still being cropped to the frame size that it should be at. Any thoughts?

Hey @breadcrumbsweb , looks like there’s an issue that requires some deeper investigation. I suggest to contact Wix support and open a ticket so it would be checked and fixed.

Thanks @miril . I’ve submitted a ticket. So far, the response back from the tech team is “To resolve the blurry image issue, we had placed your site on a previous version of technology we use to display user sites.” This fixed the photo resizing issue but created a problem with links in lightboxes in mobile viewport (both buttons and vertical menus). None of the links were allowing the lightbox to close - essentially freezing the user from going anywhere. So they reverted my site back to the current technology so menus would work. They’re still working on the photo resizing issue.
Just for the experiment:
1 . In mobile, select the image and reset it.
2. On the tablet select the image and in its menu click on “Use on all breakpoints”.
Maybe there is some glitz and it will reset its settings.
Well, you were onto something. It’s fixed, I think. So, not fully tested but it has something more to do with proportion of the photo. My photos are being pulled from a dataset. So each photo displayed could be different. But as soon as I made the proportion of the base photo the same as the photo being pulled in, it displayed perfectly.
The photo I had in as the placeholder was a portrait ratio, the photos that are in the database (at least right now) are landscape. So making the placeholder a landscape, with no cropping, seems to be fine now.
I’ll have to test it with a portrait mode photo. Just haven’t gotten to that yet.
Thank you for starting me down that path. I’ll let the tech team know what I’ve found so far. Still not fixed but at least closer to understanding the solution.
I’m glad I could help a little.
