Multiple filters on categories in blog

Hi

I’m wanting to set up a blog on a new site - I’d like the filters on categories to be like they can be on a shop main page.

For example - in one I’ve already set up elsewhere the main categories are

Main filter category - Age (sub categories available as a drop down - over 40, over 50, over 60)
Standard (club, elite)
Event (mixed, singles, doubles)

If this was a blog rather than a shop main page, as I understand it all categories would be shown up (ie giving 11 options) rather than 3 and then drop down choices.

For the website I’m looking to set up, I’d imagine all the 50 categories will be used and it would look messy and confusing on the blog main page.

Is there a way round this (I’m not a coding expert) - the shop way of setting up categories and filters works so well.

Thanks for any help!

Hey,

You can use Corvid to set up a search function on for your databases using dropdowns.

You can follow this tutorial and set it up for your blog post collection.

Hope this helps!
