New feature: Conditional Forms

@communityxteam Hi, is there any update on when I can expect this to be fixed or if there is a workaround? My client is getting impatient.

Thank you so much
We hope to see more features and options in Editor X.

Personally, I think Editor X is the best all-in-one web design platform if they follow the feature options and add a complete business tool at a good price.
Plus more integrated with other platforms.

The main reason for my hesitation to come over to editor x from wix was multi step forms. I really need it, I use long forms that need to be broken up, leads do not respond well to basic long forms. I really hope this comes over to x sooner than later.

Hi, I have a question. I want to use the same registration form but allow our buyers to either choose to pay full amount now or recurring amount weekly or monthly until the date expires. I’m not able to make those settings. Can anyone assist?

Hi @jfriede —

Thanks for sharing a use case. It’s always helpful to know what you’re trying to solve.

Let me know if I’m missing something… in my response below.

1. Set Up a Custom Registration using Wix Forms

You can accomplish this by using the Wix Pricing Plans app that are linked to a Wix Form registration page. Install the Pricing Plans app, and create your Weekly, Monthly, etc. Pricing Plans.

You can also adjust your Member Signup page to be a custom signup form with the same fields you had planned for the Registration.

  1. Install Members “Wix Members Area” from the Add Menu “+”

  2. Turn on “Dev Mode” in the top menu

  3. Visit the Pages menu for Editor X

  4. Scroll down to the page for “Members Area” and look for the ellipses “…”

  5. Select “Member Signup Settings”

  6. Then select the blue text “Enable custom signup” to begin creating your custom form.

2. Adjust Wix Form Settings to Payment Page Upon Submission

If you’re using Wix Forms to set up a Registration Form, you can select where you send users who have completed the form . To do so:

  1. Click on Form in Editor X (or Wix Editor)

  2. Select “Form Setting”

  3. Choose “Submit Message”

  4. Select Either “Go to site page or lightbox” or “Link to external URL”

  5. Choose the page where your payment options exist (maybe even using Pricing Plans mentioned above).

3. Using Automations provided by Wix Ascend

If you’ve built a form using Wix Forms, and a Pricing Plan, or link to Wix Store Product purchase, you can set up an automation to email a link to someone who has signed up. This may be a good backup to do in addition to #2 where you redirect the user to a Pricing Plans page. This way if they didn’t buy, they still can.

To set up:

  1. Visit Automations in your Wix Dashboard and select “+ New Automation” in the upper right corner.

  2. Choose Wix Forms from the Triggers field.

  3. Select “Visitor picks specific choices on form”

  4. Choose your form that is required for registration

  5. Now, select the field in the form that the user had to use. For example: “Which plan would you like to purchase?”

  6. Then, pick the choice option the user picked: For example: “VIP Ticket” or “General Admission”

  7. Last, set up an Action (or more than one depending on your Wix Ascend plan) to occur after triggered. For example: “Send email to contact”

  8. In that email, share a link to the Pricing Plans page or Wix Stores product).

Feel free to reply or reach out. I’m happy to help more.

@mattcici Thank you so much! That helps tons! Have a wonderful day!

@jfriede Happy to hear this was helpful for you. Enjoy your day as well!

Hi there! Question: We’re using editor x light box form for visitors to download “course brochures”. Once the form submitted, the automation will send an email with the PDF file requested attached.
A dropdown field allows visitors to select which course they want to receive the PDF form for. The issue we are facing, we have more than 50 courses and we would like to use one master form for all the courses.

It would be much easier if we had a “Condition” allowing the automation to send the file of the selected item in the dropdown field.

If the visitor selects “Item 1” form the dropdown field, the automation will trigger an email with an attached “file 1” relevant to Item 1.

Would that be possible to do it?
Please advise.
Thanks
