@communityxteam Hi, is there any update on when I can expect this to be fixed or if there is a workaround? My client is getting impatient.
Thank you so much
We hope to see more features and options in Editor X.
Personally, I think Editor X is the best all-in-one web design platform if they follow the feature options and add a complete business tool at a good price.
Plus more integrated with other platforms.
The main reason for my hesitation to come over to editor x from wix was multi step forms. I really need it, I use long forms that need to be broken up, leads do not respond well to basic long forms. I really hope this comes over to x sooner than later.
Hi, I have a question. I want to use the same registration form but allow our buyers to either choose to pay full amount now or recurring amount weekly or monthly until the date expires. Iâm not able to make those settings. Can anyone assist?
Hi @jfriede â
Thanks for sharing a use case. Itâs always helpful to know what youâre trying to solve.
Let me know if Iâm missing something⌠in my response below.
1. Set Up a Custom Registration using Wix Forms
You can accomplish this by using the Wix Pricing Plans app that are linked to a Wix Form registration page. Install the Pricing Plans app, and create your Weekly, Monthly, etc. Pricing Plans.
You can also adjust your Member Signup page to be a custom signup form with the same fields you had planned for the Registration.
-
Install Members âWix Members Areaâ from the Add Menu â+â
-
Turn on âDev Modeâ in the top menu
-
Visit the Pages menu for Editor X
-
Scroll down to the page for âMembers Areaâ and look for the ellipses ââŚâ
-
Select âMember Signup Settingsâ
-
Then select the blue text âEnable custom signupâ to begin creating your custom form.
2. Adjust Wix Form Settings to Payment Page Upon Submission
If youâre using Wix Forms to set up a Registration Form, you can select where you send users who have completed the form . To do so:
-
Click on Form in Editor X (or Wix Editor)
-
Select âForm Settingâ
-
Choose âSubmit Messageâ
-
Select Either âGo to site page or lightboxâ or âLink to external URLâ
-
Choose the page where your payment options exist (maybe even using Pricing Plans mentioned above).
3. Using Automations provided by Wix Ascend
If youâve built a form using Wix Forms, and a Pricing Plan, or link to Wix Store Product purchase, you can set up an automation to email a link to someone who has signed up. This may be a good backup to do in addition to #2 where you redirect the user to a Pricing Plans page. This way if they didnât buy, they still can.
To set up:
-
Visit Automations in your Wix Dashboard and select â+ New Automationâ in the upper right corner.
-
Choose Wix Forms from the Triggers field.
-
Select âVisitor picks specific choices on formâ
-
Choose your form that is required for registration
-
Now, select the field in the form that the user had to use. For example: âWhich plan would you like to purchase?â
-
Then, pick the choice option the user picked: For example: âVIP Ticketâ or âGeneral Admissionâ
-
Last, set up an Action (or more than one depending on your Wix Ascend plan) to occur after triggered. For example: âSend email to contactâ
-
In that email, share a link to the Pricing Plans page or Wix Stores product).
Feel free to reply or reach out. Iâm happy to help more.
@mattcici Thank you so much! That helps tons! Have a wonderful day!
@jfriede Happy to hear this was helpful for you. Enjoy your day as well!
Hi there! Question: Weâre using editor x light box form for visitors to download âcourse brochuresâ. Once the form submitted, the automation will send an email with the PDF file requested attached.
A dropdown field allows visitors to select which course they want to receive the PDF form for. The issue we are facing, we have more than 50 courses and we would like to use one master form for all the courses.
It would be much easier if we had a âConditionâ allowing the automation to send the file of the selected item in the dropdown field.
If the visitor selects âItem 1â form the dropdown field, the automation will trigger an email with an attached âfile 1â relevant to Item 1.
Would that be possible to do it?
Please advise.
Thanks
