Not able to input data into user input that is connected to a database collection.

I want to create a member only form that is able to be written too, updated and viewed by the member author. I tried every permutation of permissions and I am still not able to type anything into the user input field when it is connected to a dataset. I have set the dataset to Read & Write. As soon as I remove the data connection to the user input field, I can now edit it.

If you are wanting each member to have their own page where they can add or update things, then use this tutorial for a members profile page as your basis to work off of.
