Why am I not able to pay to upgrade my wix studio plan through a debit card?
i own a visa debit card and the chat bot said they accept payments through that.
I am designing a website on wix studio editor.
i want to connect my domain name that i already own but that requires me to upgrade my plan.
it only shows enter details for credit cards but no option for debit cards.
any debit or credit card should work
In My case, It’s because of Stripe Payment Gateway, which doesn’t work in India. I used to run around eight websites on Wix but had to transfer all the websites because I couldn’t pay for premium anymore, even if I wanted to. I know many people who faced the same problem; all of them had to switch to other platforms.
All other platforms have added UPI for Indian customers, but Wix hasn’t yet. Although I have been sending them messages for years, it hasn’t been added yet. I still hope they will do it in near future. Wix and many other platforms have lost many customers due to Stripe. They believe it will work everywhere, but it just doesn’t.
If you have an international VISA or similar card, you can use it. Otherwise, you can’t use the Wix.
