I’m very interested in this. I am in Australia and I’m struggling with the Mollie applications. Do we have to have a payment option. Can we take payment some other way and then send the login info to the subscriber? At this stage I am wanting my course content to be secure but accessible. So I need to be able to manage subscriptions. Thanks

Thanks for your interest! In this system, users sign up with mail/password (or optionally Facebook or Google+) to become regular members, then they subscribe (activating recurring payments via credit card or direct debit jn the process) to become paying members and get access to your premium content. I really appreciate your effort in providing this solution, with a thorough guideline and all! I’d love to try this out.

However, two questions up front:

  • Is it possible to offer a recurring payment AND a single payment option? E.g. a single Payment of 100 and a recurring of 10/month? Since I guess your solution only includes one or the other out of the box?
  • You write especially about creating a single membership page – is it possible to create a membership page where you can access sub-pages from the membership main page? Can I provide a navigation trough the membership area or has the content to be on a single page?

Hi everybody,

In case you haven’t heard: Wix has released an official solution for this problem, a Wix app called Paid Plans. You can check it out here: Wix Pricing Plans | Wix App Market | Wix.com. Since it is much better in terms of installation, usability and features, I can only recommend using that one over my project. I’m leaving my project up for educational purposes (or if anyone does not want to use the official solution for some reason).

Thanks everybody for their feedback and interest! As of today, a total of 136 users have participated in the demo, which is way more than I expected. Even though the project turned out to be a little short-lived, it was a very interesting to work on.

Thank you for your interest! Very sorry I didn’t answer this back in August, I must have overlooked the notification of your message. The answer to both is unfortunately no, this is not supported by my project.

There is now an official Wix solution (Wix Pricing Plans | Wix App Market | Wix.com) which does support the second feature, but as far as I know not the first.

The Wix paid plans are horrible in use. So bulkly and unfriendly for admin and half the time do not navigate correctly for purchaser. Anyone finding any better way to operate a paid site/pages?
