Hello code experts,
I am new to Corvid, so my skills are very limited. I am currently fighting my way through various options how to get payments for our subscriptions done as we need it. First I tried paid plans, but that did not work out mainly because I don´t want to force users to register first before they start the pament process. As we will be handeling the registration process (including member account set-up) manually anyway I would be totally happy with a simple function added to the Pay Button and check out behavoir:
after the user completes the payment successfully and clicks the “close” button on the thank you page of the checkout, Wix should redirect him to a custom page.
I have gone through dozens of posts here on the forum but haven´t found any code for that function - which I am quite surprised. Of course my issue would be solved if the checkout process and especially in my case the thank you page would be customizable, which is not the case.
YES! This worked! Thanks a lot for the help.
Now I am wondering how to change the automated payment confirmation trigger mail. I would like to setup my own trigger mail after successful payment. I haven´t found a post in the forum that explains how to do that, only some posts from 2018, where it is said that the payment confirmation email cannot be changed.
It’s so frustrating—the ability to specify what happens after payment, including email notifications, should be a basic feature built into the button. It shouldn’t require coding.
Could I get a more in-depth explanation on what to do with the code in order to get a button connected to a Wix Pay lightbox. I read through the articles you listed, and since im new to code, it was a bit overwhelming. I appreciate any assistance. Thanks!
My goal is to have a user click on a button > pay > upon payment be redirected to a “thank you” lightbox. Right now, I have the button connected to Wix Pay, so it launches correctly, but then it does not redirect.
Yes and no. I ended up dropping paid plans & working with a developer who helped me code a solution utilizing Wix Stores API & the checkout process within Wix Stores. It was a completely different direction than what i anticipated but ended up working for my client.
I was able to get a button to connect to a checkout page pop-up but unfortunately could not find a way to redirect the user to a specific page after they make a purchase.
@jessrightdesign Thanks for the info. Glad you found something that works. The code is also a little beyond me so trying to figure out a solution. I just decided to go without the payment button, created a regular button to a stripe product checkout page, and then made a zap with zapier to have it connect with my email system to send an auto email with the info I wanted to have on the thank you page. Not the best, but it works.
It seems that MONTHS later this is still not seamless … im trying the same but unable to steer the user journey to go to a specific page after the user pays - anyone else have an answer to this ?
