Possible to build a list of links in one column which changes the content in the other column?

I’m new to Wix and I have an amateur level of web coding going back to the 90’s. The 90’s were the era of the Frame, where you could have three html pages load into different frames on one master html page. Those days are gone, but I still find myself conceiving of sites with an aspect from those days: being able to change a part of the screen with actions from another part of the screen. I’d like a list of links on the left and when you click a link, the resulting appears on the right. I imagine this is possible, but I just don’t know what to refer to it as in my searches.

I thought about using a fixed (freezed) header with links to anchors on the page below, but ideally I want this to happen in two columns as the attached sketch demonstrates. Also I don’t seem to have a header on any of my Wix pages and I can’t add it. I have a footer though.

Any thoughts on what I could do to create this?

The Wix element called a “strip” may be exacty what you’re looking for. Strips can be configured to have multiple columns.

Thanks Anthony - yes I’ve looked at using strips for this, but I don’t see how to make the columns operate independently of one another, especially if I needed to switch out the content of the right column while keeping the left.
