I’ve started using Wix local collaboration tool.
I merged the files using 3rd party tool to merge folders (i didn’t touch some of the folders).
after I pushed to the site and published seems like preview mode is not connected to the code on the page but live is working fine.
tried going back to a version in history before I pushed but still not working.
is it has something to do with not merging some of the files?
maybe a bug on Wix side?
thanks.
Hi,
When working in preview on your site, if you have backend files that make certain API calls or fetches, it may not work fully when you preview your site. You will have to see it work fully on the live site.
If this does not seem to be the issue, I encourage you to contact support here as it may be related to a known issue that has arisen as described here .
Best Regards,
Edward
Hi Edward thank you for replying.
my problem extends the fetches or API calls a simple console.log is not showing when running in preview mode.
something disconnected between the pages and the code behind it.
is there someone i can talk to about wix local collaboration tool?
is it possible to reset the settings on my site? https://www.kidas.net/
thank you,
Amit
Hi,
If your console.log is within a backend file, it is important to keep in mind that backend events don’t work when previewing your site. For more information, click here .
If you have any other questions regarding this issue (Corvid related), you can respond/ask in this thread and any one of the forum members will be happy to assist.
Regarding the site settings, which settings are you trying to reset? The code you have created within the editor or the general site history?
Thank you we await your reply.
Edward
the console.log is in the front end.
either way console.log is not working in the backend only in live site but thats irrelevant.
i’m talking about reset the settings of the code in the editor because for some reason the page itself is not “seeing” the code beyond it.
Hi Amit,
I was able to run a test on the site’s preview function to see if the console log would display “test” and I was able to see that it worked properly.
If you continue to experience this issue/possible bug, please contact wix support here so our customer care team can investigate this issue further.
Regarding resettting the settings of the code, currently that is not supported as there is no history stored for the settings of your code.
Best regards,
Edward
thanks dima,
so wix support say its an anomaly and a bug on their end?
Edward can you confirm?
what should i do?
Yep! So, before falling into panic
and destroy his own code, always check if there are more then one person who has the same issue at the same time.
Hey all,
