Project Showcase with category filter

Question:
[Hi, I am designer with various types of projects to showcase, for eg. commercial, residential, interior design etc. I would like to do a project gallery page that I can upload all projects thumbnails only once, and clickable words “commercial”, “residential” to act like filtering to automatically remove / sort out the relevant selected works to show for that category.]

What are you trying to achieve:
[Viewers can quickly choose to see all my projects or see only specific ones.]

What have you already tried:
[Currently I am creating the categories separately so I have to duplicate my project thumbnails and upload them and the photos under the project repeatedly.]

You can use Selection Tags and connect them with Dataset, use repeater connected to that dataset to display list of projects:

Thank you so much for the help! Learnt something new that is actually called Selection Tag. I will try it out! hopefully I get it right, else will come back to ask again lol!
