Reassigned Domain to a Wix after disconnecting it (by mistake)

Hi Community,

I recently unassigned by mistake my domain from Wix as I assigned it to another website where I did not realize it would screw everything over.

Once I realized, I unassigned my domain from that new website, and reconnected it to my current Wix website.
Attached are the three screenshot from:

• the error message I am getting
• the A (hosts)
• the CNAME (Aliases)

However, I get the following message:
"Your domain is set to point away from Wix

This problem may have happened because the DNS records were updated incorrectly. Try connecting this domain again by following our step-by-step instructions."

I tried again, and it says it will connect and that I might need to wait 48h. It’s been 24hours, and I am getting seriously nervous, as I don’t remember that my website needed so long to be published when I first assigned that domain.

I tried to use whatsmydns.net for my website, but it’s all in red in there (meaning not connected).

Would anyone know a little more about that topic and could give me a hand?

Alright, I fixed it in the meantime thanks to Wix Chatbot… quite impressed to be frank!

Here’s what needed to be done:

You should add the new A and CNAME records to the existing ones:

Here are the records you need to add:

1. A Record :

• Host : @ (or leave blank)
• Points to : 185.230.63.107

2. CNAME Record :

• Host : www
• Points to : pointing.wixdns.net

That’s pretty much it, my website went back online almost instantly!
