Refresh() function

Hi everyone,
why has the refresh() function for tables not worked for some time?

example:

if I write, $w(“#mytable”).refresh(); I have no effect.

However if not can you provide more info? Is there a code sample that fully reproduces the issue and more details about what the steps are to reproduce the issue?
