Without any changes to the code, for the past 4 days, since December 29, our site has been experiencing intermittent 429 - Too Many Requests HTTP errors from API calls in the US east coast region. We are unable to replicate this issue on computers in the US west coast region or in Europe. Were updates made to the API rate limits or other resource restrictions recently that might be region specific somehow?
There is no indication from our Monitoring pages that responses are being throttled or erroring out, but the 429 issues persist.
This is resulting in a serious degradation of service for our users whose applications rely on API endpoints through Velo.
