Sometimes our employees work days that they are not usually scheduled. I would like to open them up for normal booking services on only those days. It’s the exact opposite of blocking off normally available hours, I’d like to unblock normally unavailable sessions.
Currently, I have to change their permanent schedule to include the new day and times, then block off that day manually for 6-10 weeks right away since they will only be working one or two of those days, not normally on their schedule. Then I have to remind myself in a few weeks to remove that day from their permanent schedule, and delete and full day blocks left for that future day of the week. It’s tedious. I have tried making “classes” but our services are different lengths.
as an update, i now use a class with multiple sessions as work around. So i create a recurring class on thursdays for that stylist who doesn’t have thursday on her permanent schedule. Then, have it repeat on thursdays for say 15 weeks. Then add thursdays to that stylists permanent schedule and delete the individually scheduled thursday’s classes for the thursdays I want her to be available. After the thursday she wanted to be available passes, i remove thursday from her perm schedule and delete the remaining thursday class sessions (delete all future sessions). It’s still a pain but less work than deleting the future session one by one
just to circle back, I’m still using the same process the only other downside is an ALL day class on the wix bookings calendar every occurrence. It’s still an issue though, as I need to open up Dec 30 2021 which is a Thursday and outside of the custom availability for that employee. So I’ll create a class for thursday that’s not bookable online for that employee which will run for 5 months every Thursday and delete just the class on Dec 30th. The extra two months are because we can’t allow them to be booked on a Thursday all the way up until Dec 31 when I’ll have to remind myself to remove Thursdays from their perm schedule availability then delete the remaining 2 months of classes scheduled for Thursdays. Having 5 months of classes for one open day seems a bit much. Consider we have like 10 employees and the entire calendar is covered with these classes that aren’t classes at all!
