Studio Bytes

Build interactive image reveal hotspots in minutes

In this Studio Byte, learn how to build a section where each area reveals a different image that follows the visitor’s cursor.
Set up the layout, add mouse effects so images track the pointer, and use Hover states to control which image appears in each zone.
Design a split-scroll layout that reacts on hover

We’re back with another Studio Byte with designer Kole Jain. In this video, we build a split-scroll layout where hovering over one panel makes it expand while the other shrinks.
What you’ll learn:
- Setting up a full-screen CSS grid.
- Dropping a flexbox slider into each cell to fill both sides with content.
- Adding Hover animations using Scale and Translate so panels react independently.
The result is a bold, editorial layout that offers a high-end interactive experience - without writing a single line of code.
Wix Studio News
Introducing an updated product page for Wix Studio Storefront
Wix Studio now features an enhanced product page for storefronts—making it easier to showcase products and to deliver better results, faster.
All new sites you create in Wix Studio will use this new product page by default. And as we continue building out the storefront experience, upcoming features and improvements will be released exclusively for it—so you and your clients will always have access to the latest and best.
What’s coming:
- Enhanced performance - Faster load times mean a smoother shopping experience for every visitor.
- Sticky add to cart for mobile - The Add to Cart button stays within reach as shoppers scroll, helping drive conversions.
- Sticky columns for desktop - Pin images and key content in place while shoppers browse.
- Primary ribbons - Let your clients highlight products with bold, eye-catching ribbons in custom placements.
- Additional ribbons - Stack multiple ribbons per product to showcase promotions, new arrivals, and more.
- Product groups - Enable shoppers to seamlessly switch between product variants.
- Image-based color swatches - Go beyond standard HEX colors—show patterns, prints, and designs exactly as they look.
What about existing sites?
Your current sites will continue to work exactly as they are—no action needed unless you want to upgrade. To switch to the new product page, just go to Store Pages in the Editor, select Get New Product Page, and follow the prompts to migrate. Once you’re on the new page, you’ll have full access to redesign it and to every new feature as it launches.
Note: sites that remain on the existing product page won’t have access to future storefront enhancements.

News and Announcements
Build unique client automations with the new Automations Agent
Use the new Automations Agent as your AI co‑pilot in Wix Automations to create and update workflows using prompts.
Describe your clients’ needs across products and use cases and let the agent turn them into powerful, ready‑to‑run automations.
Get smarter SEO for blogs with AI-generated markups
AI-generated structured data markups extend Wix’s built-in SEO by automatically creating and applying markups to your blog posts.
The system scans each post, identifies the most relevant schemas, and adds them for you so search engines and AI tools can better understand, rank, and feature your content.
You get advanced SEO infrastructure out of the box, with complex markup handled automatically in the background. No manual setup, no code and no extra effort—just clearer, more discoverable blog posts.
Get a smarter view of all marketing efforts with data-driven insights
The revamped Marketing Overview introduces a clearer, more interactive design with new data sources like Wix Automations and social channels.
You can see all of your client’s marketing efforts in one place, and understand how each activity is performing at a glance.
This unified view helps you identify what’s working, where to optimize and how to allocate your resources more efficiently.
Wix Forms: Eight new controls for smarter, more flexible data collection
Set your clients up to collect form information in the most productive and personalized way possible. With the latest Wix Forms updates, you can now:
- Include payment fields (Product, Custom Price, and Donation) in conditional rules.
- Send submission notification emails formatted to match your site’s language and region.
- Fully customize the font, size, and style of your “Thank you” message.
- Customize checkbox colors independently from other field colors.
- Autofill contact details for signed-in members.
- Accept .gltf and .glb 3D files up to 25MB with the File Upload field.
- Move fields between form pages to refine multi-page flows.
- Save additional field data directly to Contacts.
Wix Restaurants: Stay on top of service with smarter table reservations
Your clients can now easily view, search and manage all kinds of table bookings with flexible new filters, including:
- Today’s reservations
- Incoming requests
- All past and future reservations
To get the exact view needed, just go to Table Reservations in the site’s dashboard, choose the relevant tab, and apply filters like status, date, table, or source. Your clients can also create and save custom views tailored to their specific workflow.
Take table reservations direct from Google
Table Reservations now supports Reserve with Google V2, so guests can book directly from Google Search and Maps—no extra steps.
When your setup meets the required criteria—connected integration, automatic approval enabled, no prepayment, no required custom fields, and availability in a supported country—bookings are completed within Google and automatically synced with Wix.
If these conditions aren’t met, guests will follow the existing V1 flow and be redirected to complete their reservation.
The Reserve with Google settings screen indicates which version is currently active. Reservations made through Google are labeled for easy identification. For V2 users, guest notifications are handled by Google by default.
New: Pause Online Reservations in One Click
With Pause reservations, restaurants can quickly stop new online bookings for a defined period (up to 24 hours) whenever capacity is reached. Reservations before and after the pause remain available, so guests can still plan ahead. Readiness indicators give diners a clear view of when the restaurant is accepting bookings again, helping them convert at the right moment.
New: WhatsApp notifications for online restaurant orders
Restaurants can now use WhatsApp to automatically update customers about their online orders. With built-in automations for “order ready for pickup” and “order out for delivery,” customers get instant, real-time updates on one of their most-used messaging channels.
This helps reduce incoming support calls, set clear expectations, and improve the post-checkout experience.
Introducing Passkeys: A faster, simpler way to log in
Passkeys enable secure log in using authentication already built into devices, like Face ID, fingerprint recognition, or a device PIN. No passwords to remember, type or reset.
Why switch to passkeys?
- Effortless access – Log in as easily as unlocking a phone
- Stronger security – Resistant to phishing and eliminates password reuse risks
- Fewer support issues – No more password resets or lockouts
- Built for modern devices – Works smoothly across phones, tablets and desktops
With passkeys, you’re not just improving login-in—you’re removing friction and raising security standards.
