search bar not working

I think the code is fine, but when i try and type something in it shows up with nothing in the preview?

I think i have been on other pages where this issue has cropped up a few times.

Please help in where I have gone wrong.

ps. all the #names I think are correct.

Two issues…

1. Have you synced your sandbox database to your Live database?

2. You need to make sure that the input field’s value is updated before using it in the keypress function. See the forum post Give the TextInput onKeyPress Function some time for what you need to do.

Hello Noel,
First some suggestions:

• Make sure you’re connecting the repeater (or whatever you are using to display the contents of the dataset) to the dataset
• Double check to see if the ‘JOBS’ field in your collection is written in all uppercase like that (the field key, not field name, as the field key is actually whats being compared)

• Try doing: $w(‘#dataset1’).setFilter(wixData.filter().contains(‘name’, title)).then(()=> $(‘#dataset1’).refresh());

It looks like that done the trick and im back on my way to getting all the other elements wix ready for the reveal !
