Background:
We have a charity site running on the original Wix platform that will be moving over to Wix Studio in the next few months.
We are currently using the Wix Event Management app and the client has now set up Monday(.com) as their CRM.
They offer a range of events on the Wix site and on submission the form data is currently collected in Wix.
Question:
The client would now like to create the events on Wix, but have the form data saved to Monday. What is the best and most secure way to do this?
- Use Wix API (need to find a coder to help if this is the case)
- Use a third party like Zapier (zapier.com)
- Use Monday.com API (if even possible?)
Additional info:
- We should only need 3 forms to cover all different event requirements.
- GDPR - we would want Monday to be the only place data is saved.
- Some events will need to use Stripe to take payments.
- Clients are non technical so the end solution must be easy to use and all within the events app.
Thanks for your help!
James
This sounds like an ideal use case for Wix Automations - Wix Automations: An Overview | Help Center | Wix.com - depending on the triggers you need, you can send data externally (in this case Monday.com)
If you are using wix events app as your system, then the data would be saved on the wix end. You can then use wix automations to get the data, but the transfer to monday.com would be either through a webhook that you’d have to setup or use some code to post the data using the monday APIs.
If you DON’T want any data saved on Wix at all, your best way is to build a custom solution with the form data then being directly transferred to Monday using APIs
All in all, both solutions do require a bit of technical finesse. Happy to assist if desired.

Thank you for the reply Noah,
Sorry for the delay in my reply.
I have been looking into the automations so will investigate this further and potentially try and find a partner who can assist.
Thanks again
Hi Jaosh,
Thank you for taking the time to reply to my question, it is appreciated. Sorry I am only just getting back to you.
As you mentioned, our main concern is GDPR and making sure the final solution is compliant. So a custom solution may be the best option…
I am currently working on a specification and user flow. Hopefully this will help moving forward!
Many thanks
James
