I’ve been a Wix user for many years now espcially Editor X. I began back when this was only in beta and gave heaps of feedback and feature requests.
I find myself returning to the community as the platform is mostly incredible but we are still waiting for one primary feature - the standard slideshow. I’ve seen other website creators pop up that include this for free (great for those not wanting to pay for “Pro Gallery”)
I’m curious since this is a “high-demand” feature for both creators and clients, is this on the pipeline at all? Or can you just integrate Pro Gallery into the system without it being an “app”?
No, we could use this with states similar to hover. However you should have an option to “automate” the transition rather than hover and give different varriables such as fade, slide, push, etc. with the slide time + transition speed. These options become available once you select whether this is a “hover state” or “timed state”. This would be incredible since you could add custom content aside from images or fixed text that the pro gallery offers. You can actually move text around that overlays the image and changes as the “state” automates to the next one.
The platform has come a long way and I am excited to see where it goes, but I was expecting this feature to be one of the first since beta. I really want to continue using Wix but some clients of mine have requested custom slideshows that I’m unable to achieve besides on Showit or Webflow.

As you mention, you can do this with slides on the layouter tool. That being said, I know how important it is to have an automated option for the slides to automatically change to different items. I’ve passed your feedback on to the team
The slides on layouter is fine, but I’d love just an option to upload a progallery and have every image link to it directly to the image in the gallery. It’s the only reason I still use your main competitor when I make sites for my artist clients.
Would love for you guys to have more options to highlight artistic work.

I think it could be integrated into the “interactions” panel.
Under interactions panel add “slideshow or automated”
Ability to choose transition type (fade, slide etc.)
Ability to choose slide time and transition time.
Similar to regular wix editor, add slides and have the ability to add content to each slide. For example, different containers with different text in each slide or even different designs for each slide. This can all be done within a container so you can make the slideshow however you’d like.
Another cool feature would be scroll animations. Check out Dora, it’s really inspired me to see features like this on Wix as well. Basically I want Wix to be the only platform I use haha
