{SOLVED} Database tree gone all of a sudden!

Hello!

I logged in today to work on my site and notice that even when I have Developer Tools on, the Database Tree on the left of the site is gone. I have tried to access using Chrome and Firefox latest and it is the same issue. I have toggled Developer tools and regular tools on and off and no fix. How can I get to my Databases to work with them please and thanks!

Hi Natalie,

Did you try clicking on the arrow at the bottom left of the screen?

This is from one of your screen shots:

If that doesn’t help, please post the URL of your site. Only authorized Wix personnel can get access to the editor in your sites.

Yisrael

Yes I clicked the button and showed the pop up that you see in my screenshot. You can see both states engaged. It’s not showing even when clicked. URL Is: https://lsa315.wixsite.com/lsamcgill/
I tried to click it in both Firefox and Chrome btw.

Thanks Yisrael!

Hi Natalie,

I opened up your site in the editor (nice site by the way) and got the Site Structure tree on the left side. I was able to open and close it with the lower-left arrow. Not sure why you’re having this problem. Maybe clear cache/cookies and see what happens.

Yisrael

Hi Yisreal,

Thank you for the kind comment on the site! Much appreciated.

Very odd indeed. I have cleared cache and cookies. I have even tried disabling all of my Chrome extensions. Chrome is latest version.

It might take a few moments to load.

I am wondering if this could be a IP issue (I live in Uganda), let me try to shut down, restart and use a VPN and see if that does anything. I will try anything at this point.

FYI in case this helps, my specs are
MacOS Sierra
V 10.12.6
Chrome Version 63.0.3239.132 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Will shut down, restart, try the VPN and see.

Thanks!

Hahah where is the facepalm emoticon when you need it??!!!

I had actually somehow slid the sidebar so far over left in my workspace that I hid everything on that side. It would be kinda cool if there was a way to freeze that. I was working with a large homepage image and with all my sliding around I must have slid the heck out of the left bar resize window. But good for me to know that it does not reset when logging off, then logging back onto Wix.

Issue solved. My bad!

Double facepalm - in fact, I need a smack upside the head. I was going to ask you if you moved the workspace over. I just figured - “NAH - no way.” :exploding_head:

That’s so funny. I think I need a nap. Or a beer.

OMG seriously tho. I have been inputting data into this historical archive of past members of this association and my brain has clearly gone to mush.

But one thing… I did actually drag and drag that bar to the side to see if that was the issue at first. But for some reason it was only on the 10th try I could actually ‘catch’ it to drag. Is there a better way to get that sidebar back if I can’t find the point at which to drag?

But seriously… this was as dumb as the support question “why is there a cup holder in my computer?” ROTFL. I feel so dumb!

Thanks for your help!!!
Have beer!!! Have a few for me also! I have to finish this site before I can partake.

“Have beer!!! Have a few for me also!”

Great! Now I can explain to my boss…

It’s a shame they don’t have cup holders on computers anymore. I keep spilling my beer on my keyboard.

LOL I know right! HAHAH.
Thanks for your help yesterday. At least it pushed me to keep pushing the slider over until it worked!

Hey, I might have the same issue, but where the file tree is hidden is beyond me. Could you help?

Thanks,
Mihai

Hey Mihai,

I tried your site and the site structure panel is displayed:

Please post a screen shot so we can determine what your problem is.

Thank you Yisrael. That’s because I figured it out in the end.
