<SOLVED> Hide() Show() Not Working

It seems the issue was solved by the Wix team. It must have been a bug and my website is working correctly today.

Hi there,

I have been using the Hide/Show function for a long time now but I signed in today and noticed that it’s no longer functioning.

How it usually works:
MouseIn on tabs to the left reveals white box, relevant text box and orange line (detail at the bottom of white box.) MouseOut on tabs will hide the elements.
These elements should also be hidden on load.

My Issue:
Today they are not cooperating and are revealed all at once when page is loaded. Is this a bug with Wix? I have not edited the code.

How should I proceed?

Quickly checking your website in Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, it seems that it works fine in Edge, however that issue only occurs in Firefox and Chrome.

However, I don’t think it is anything to do with the code itself, I think it is more down to the fact that the page has a lot happening on it and it needs to load the page completely before any user views that area.

I viewed the area in all three browsers as soon as the page showed up and as I’ve said above, it only shows correctly in Edge, with both Chrome and Firefox displaying it wrong until the page was fully loaded and the elements cleared themselves.

However, after loading the page again in Firefox and Chrome and waiting a short while for the page to fully load, then the problem did not appear and the muse in and out options worked okay.

Have you tried enabling the page for caching in your page settings?

Thank you for your reply, givemewhiskey. I enabled the page caching just this morning.

Unfortunately I don’t think this issue is due to the page having many animations (although I agree that I can simplify them for loading speed purposes).

I just now restored the website to it’s February 11th state which I know was working and the issue I described earlier persists… In fact, in the preview mode before I click “restore” the page loads perfectly. So it seems when the issue is when the website is actually published.

This leads me to believe it might be on Wix’s end. I am hoping they can help me rectify the issue as my client is anxious to have their website working again as it did in the past.

I have the same issue in chrome and on all my pages that have Hide() Show() code. This is a major issue at Wix and nothing to do with us. I really hope it gets fixed asap.

I check my site regularly at least once a week and I’ve just noticed this today. It has worked for months on my site and now it doesn’t. I’ve tried with Chrome and Safari and it’s the same thing. I think it’s on Wix’s side. Any news anybody?

Hello guys. Hope everyone’s great! I have been developing the site in Wix for just about 2.5 months. I have been working with Hide and Show events on the page for custom menu dropdown using buttons and boxes. 3 out of 4 menus work on the mouseIn. One dropdown isn’t working. I have tried to change the box altogether but no luck.

I am experiencing the same issue about hide & show at my site, how can I ask for a fix from WIX?
It has been running for a few months and everything was totally fine until today, and I haven’t changed a thing.

Thank you. Can you be a bit more specific about which elements are not hidden/shown properly please?

Sometimes and on all pages, hidden elements are apparent and this forces me to refresh the page.
