If the instructions that were given to you were to paste HTML code to your site, you will want to follow the steps here . I am not too sure if the code in the screenshot will work the way you want it to work but if you would like another option, just in case, I was able to find a Wix tutorial for a star rating system that you can build with Corvid here.
