Store integration with third party service

We have a client who may leave us for Shopify, due to the lack of a specific Store integration. I don’t think it’s something I want to attempt (I’ve just done simple page code so far), but I’m hoping to find someone we can hire to help.

I’ve tried the Marketplace, but I’m not getting much in the way of responses — it’s not filtering well for Velo coders, I guess. Perhaps someone here has done this (or something similar) before?

Here’s the situation: We’ve built an Editor X website for an author. Her books are available on the usual online booksellers, and we provide links to her books on those sites.

However, she now wants to have a store on the Editor X site and sell ebooks directly. Because we can’t provide any kind of DRM via the Store, she wants to deliver the ebooks via a service called BookFunnel. BookFunnel has existing integrations with Shopify and some other online stores, but not with Wix.

BookFunnel does, however, offer what appears to be a pretty straightforward API: We submit a simple request, and BookFunnel returns a download link that we can then provide to the buyer.

So I guess we need Velo code that, once the buyer has paid for a cart, gets the list of purchased books, submits an API request for each, and provides the link(s) to the buyer.

Does anyone here with Velo / Store experience think this is do-able?

Hello! We have a Discord community dedicated to developers who build on Wix. I would post your inquiry there in the jobs channel
