Hi,
Editor X already comes with support for SVG images. You can add SVG images by adding a vector art from the add panel.
Afterwards you can upload your own SVG to the element.

Thanks I will check it out. I think you need to “surface” that functionality. I wouldn’t instinctively think of loading decorative art first (in fact, I didn’t). When I load simple images (not clipart) SVG should be readily available as an option.
Hi @blair ,
I’m Galiet from the Editor X Product Team. Thank you for sharing your great suggestion. We will send it over to the team for consideration. If you have more ideas or suggestions, please let us know.
Best,

Would like to add to this that it would be nice if SVGs were treated as a first class image format instead of being their own alternate thing within Wix.
Recently I was trying to edit the social buttons gallery with SVG images but was disappointed to find that this gallery only supported bitmaps. Funnily enough, I replaced the file location with an SVG in the web inspector (just to see if this would work without hassle) and it appears everything that this image gallery does is compatible with SVG files already as they seem to work as expected out of the box. How convenient!
I do understand that this probably isn’t a “one and done” feature to add and that vectors have their fair share of quirks on the web. I think it would be worth it though, this vector Facebook icon takes up a mere 11% of the .webp image’s file size and encouraging usage of vector graphics for their applicable use cases by simplifying the user experience of adding them to a website would be the way to go in my opinion.
