Is there a way to add a checkbox or site member preference to not collect sales tax?

I have regular customers and wholesale customers who use our website for purchases and orders. I would like our wholesale customers to have the ability to submit orders online without manually transferring everything to our accounting software and canceling orders. I have set up a “pay on delivery” function currently for our wholesale customers to at least get an order to us in wix shop checkout.
Adding a blanket tax exemption to products is not a solution. This would then not collect tax from regular customers. I either need a way to tax exempt a wholesaler through site member preferences or add a box in the checkout for tax exempt. Avalara seems to not enable this function either.
