I have put a music track on my start page. When the visitor clicks the play button, a music track starts playing. When the visitor moves on to the next page, the music tracks still keeps on playing. Actually I have read in the WIX Help that the music stops as soon as the visitor moves on to another page. But this doesn’t seem to be happening.

My music play icon is not in the header and footer place. It is in the main body of the site.
I have earlier said that this problem had stopped. But it has now reappeared. So posting this edited message again. Sorry for the confusion.

During the editing process (actually amateurishly fiddling with it) I had opened multiple tabs and got a warning message that there are several edit version open and which one I want to save (something like that). May be due to this it all got messed up. If so, I can reset it as my site is in very early stage of development.
Side Observation : Is it that adding music is not a good idea as it overloads the system. In that case I will do away with the music altogether to keep it simple.

Finally I got the answer. This is what has happened :
I had a ‘Start’ Page. It was set to ‘Home’ ( meaning it was the first to show up when a visitor visits the site ). The menu horizontal bar was hidden. There is an image on the page. It had link to the next page called ‘home’ (though in effect it was not functioning as ‘home’ page but as the second item) page. There was a music player icon on this ‘Start’ page. When it was pressed a background music start playing. Upto this point everything was OK.
What was happening was that when the visitor clicked the image on the ‘Start’ page, it will take him to the next page called ‘home’ page WHILE THE START PAGE STILL KEPT OPEN . So there were now two pages open. The music which was playing on the Start page was still playing, even though the visitor was now in another page ( and then in another page … and so on with the music still playing in the loop in the Start page which was still open ).
Solution : Solution was very simple. The image had link to the next page called ‘home’ page but the link was set to open in ’ New Window '. I had no clue that this was the problem. When after much fiddling, I made the change to make it open ’ in the same window '. After having made this change, when the visitor on Start page clicked on the image, it took him to the next page called ‘home’ page while CLOSING the START PAGE and thereby stopping the music which was playing therein .
End Note : It would have been better if there was a pop up warning by WIX when the link was set to ‘open in new window’ cautioning about the effect of this action (i.e. the original page is kept open and any music which might be playing on it will continue to play). This would have helped me in knowing what was happening.
