So, when you’re creating the tickets for the Event under Registration Form, you’ll find the field “Add your Details.” I wanted it to be obvious that this registration is for the attendee and not the person paying. We often have grandparents buying tickets for their children for this event, and I don’t want them to be confused about whether it’s their billing information we need or the name that should go on the tickets. So, in the “Add your Details” form, I changed First Name/Last Name to say “Attendee First Name” and “Attendee Last Name.”
As I was previewing the site, I added a ticket to the cart and went to checkout. That’s when I saw the “Add Your Details” section. I assumed that was the form I had created for ticket registration since it had the same title and included the “Attendee First Name” and “Attendee Last Name” fields. HOWEVER, after you fill in that section and go to the next section, in the Ticket Details field it refers to the “Add Your Details” person as the buyer, and then I did find the full registration form that I had created.
- I think it would be much clearer if the Registration Form page reflected the “Ticket Details” and not the “Add your Details” form.
- Furthermore, the Add your Details name would be clearer if it were “Add your Billing Details.” (It would be nice if we could customize this section; although, I understand there are some items that must be in there.)
- Changing the field names in the Registration Form shouldn’t change the field names for the Billing Form. Obviously, right?
Updating these facets would make the ticketing for events a much smoother process for creators.
