Who is familiar with the new email notifications when a user submit a form?
I need to get rid of the message in the bottom that promote WiX app. My clients and my self are not interested and is annoying to see this every time.
The idea to pay for a premium plan in a part is to avoid any type of WiX advertising.
Not all the clients have access to their sites and not all want to take care or know about the platform, that’s why they hire me, right? So let’s help us avoid this app use advertising. Thank you! I attached to this post a picture of before and after of the contact forms notifications.
I also noticed that is missing the date of submission in the new format.
Thank you, Carlos!
Yes Carlos is right we don’t want this type of advertising.
There’s also a popup bar on mobile devices. It’s only appearing on certain sites, not all. What is the Wix App, exactly, and how do we turn it off? I’ve searched in Wix Answers but don’t see anything called the ‘Wix App’. I see the Wix Mobile App, but it says nothing about how to get rid of it. It should be optional for those clients who want/need it.
[@Carlos Rivera] Hey there. Gal from the Wix Mobile App team. Thanks for the feedback.
In general those ads are solely to help users discover tools and products that can help them manage their business better and in the bottom line provide them better value.
From users reviews and interviews we got the feedback that using the Wix Mobile App make the business and members management much easier.
Having said that, I totally understand your point and we should adjust those rules to meet experts needs. No doubt about it.
We will take it internally and update the product accordingly.
[@Del Simmons] Hey there. Gal from the Wix Mobile App team.
The mobile web banner is opt in feature that users can enable on their mobile version of their site and drive traffic to their mobile place on the Wix Mobile App.
It gives their clients/members better way to connect with the business (book from the app, read posts, events and more)
Read more about what members can do: Using the Wix Mobile App as a Member | Help Center | Wix.com
As for enabling or disabling the banner, its available on the app and you can read here how to do it:
Let me know if you have any other questions
Thanks
Hi Gal, Thank you for your prompt reply! I’ve never installed the Wix Mobile App on any device, so how did we opt-in? I’m sure I didn’t enable it. I don’t recall exactly when it started showing up so I’m not sure how it got there in the first place. The Wix Support Center lacks many details.
[@Del Simmons] can you write me the url of the site? We will check what was the reason for showing the banner.

Thank you for the initiative, but we are not interested, if there is a channel to direct my clients what to use and someone that know what they need in regards of handling their business marketing is me as their agency not wix. This is not acceptable since I am paying big money monthly for ZERO advertising of wix, period. If I believe that a client need an app to respond an email then I want to be the one that let them now that. I don’t want WiX to interfere with my business model. Thanks for the idea but not thank you.
Carlos, while I completely understand your point of view and to some extent agree, we must also keep in mind that wix is a for profit business. I think it’s a very interesting conversation, though, because as wix is adding a focus of experts in the marketing plans it definitely seems reasonable for what you are suggesting. Three years ago wix was 100% diy focused - now, it’s definitely time for experts. it’s good feedback - but remember Wix is trying to expand awareness as to what we offer also. That’s a challenge with all companies - I think you can agree. I’m sure you face similar challenges with clients when you add a new service to your agency.
we will find the right path together!
@galf It’s on more than one site but this one I posted the screenshot of is the most concerning at the moment https://www.midsouthacademy.com . If there is more than one possible trigger for this. let’s know them all so we can know in the future how to prevent this from happening against the client’s will. For some clients this option is great, but some are too busy running their business to monitor yet another app. Thank you in advance.
[@Del Simmons] my name is Elad from the Wix mobile team. We looked into the matter and it seems like one of your contributers enabled the app promotion banner on Feb 7th. Regardless, you can always disable it by tapping Dashboard ==> Get more members ==> Disable banner. Let us know how it goes. Elad.
@brett thanks for the note, but understand that that is exactly my roll as an agency is to recommend what is best for my clients, if removing the advertising from emails notifications is not possible then I have not choice but recommend other options of forms in the market that respect what premium “remove adds” means. Thanks again.
Thanks !
What about my issue? can we remove the app promotion from emails notifications in all websites under my account please.
@brett I also understand the commercial point and that’s why we are paying premiums to avoid this pushy advertising and more when the advertising is websites under my account. unacceptable.
@brett WiX can figure out how to create awareness in a different way and not directly to my clients. In this case I am the WiX client not the websites that are under my account ( they are perhaps my clients ) I think you can agree. When I add a new service to your agency I never approach other agencies clients to let them know about my new service, that will be unprofessional and disrespectful we will find the right path together!
How does it get enabled when nobody in my office, nor does my client have the app installed on any device. That’s why it’s so puzzling. Are there any details as to who enabled it? I guess I have to install the app now to disable it? I don’t see what you’re talking about in the WiX Dashboard.
@graphics I’d love to share more info in a private channel. please check out your chat.
So, no responds to my article? what are the right channels to go to ask to remove this messages from any email notification coming from any website under my account? I don’t approve such of things because I am paying for not to have any advertising. wix
