URGENT - Passing URL query Broken

Hi.

It seems Wix-Location - Passing Query [arguments/parameters] has got broken between yesterday and today (23 Oct 2019).

From the API:
https://www.wix.com/corvid/reference/wix-location.html

" How do I pass the query from a page’s URL on to the next page I direct the browser to?
If you’re directing the browser to another page within your site, the query from the current page’s URL will automatically be appended to the next page you direct the browser to using the to() function."

This no longer seems to be working. I’ve tried creating a test page and it doesn’t work. Would someone be kind enough to test it out and say whether it is working or not?

Thank you!

Hello @brett-haralson . Could this please be looked by someone? This is affecting live sites. Thank you!

Copy that - I will also see who I can poke for ya.

Hey Sid - Update - I passed this to the right team. It is going to be investigated and checked out. I may not have any further updates on this, but I can assure you it’s in front of who needs to see it. Thanks for bringing this to my attention - I appreciate it.

@brett-haralson Thank for very much, really appreciate it. I hope they investigate it and find a solution. Regards

I have tested Wix location to functionality on my end and it seems to be working correct.

Please send us a link to your site’s editor and include the name of the page with the issue and the page you wish to direct to.

Hi Aleks.

Thanks. Tech support did get back to me.

Basically:

  • it used to work (i.e. query parameters were not being carried forward automatically)
  • a change was made, but no one has admitted to this being made and the reason
  • the Corvid API info (pasted) above has since been deleted where I pointed out the written behaviour

This is all fine but as you can imagine, it is slightly frustrating that we can’t even speak to someone to discuss.

Anyway, thanks for looking at it.

Sid
