Hi all, we have one site but would like to have some pages that have regional content i.e. Page A-1 has US specific content and Page A-2 has UK specific content, including different images, links etc. An example would be a Reading Lists page with some books published in UK but not US. I thought perhaps this could be achieved with language but it appears English is considered one language across all English speaking nations and i cannot have UK English and US English.
Is there a way to achieve same pages with different content based on the users location. I also thought a default based on browser language but does this recognise US versus British English or is there another way to achieve a more localised and custom experience for the user? Thanks
See the multilingual documentation . Meanwhile, I encourage you to go to the Wishlist Page and request a new feature for regional variations of English. I don’t want to get on the Queen’s bad side.
If you need further details or clarification, I would recommend contacting Wix Customer Care regarding localization options.
Thank you Yisrael. Yep sounds like it needs a change to be supported via Wix multi-lingual. It’s not just different spellings but different words e.g. Sedan (US) and Saloon (Queens English), Pavement / Sidewalk etc that mean the user experience suffers because of this limitation. Thanks again.
