Variable product list editor

Good morning people,

My WIX webshop has many products with almost 30 variable product (colors). A long list that usually changes. If I have like 300 products on my store, it is crazy to change all of them when any variable of the list dissapear.

Example:
My products are customizable. Some of them have 3 variable colors to choose (a list of 30 colors for each variable). One day, a provider tell me that Reddish Orange color is no longer available, so I have to modify those 3 variable list x 300 products. Would it be more easy if we had a VARIABLE EDITOR where I choose the variable “COLOR 1”, “COLOR 2” and “COLOR 3” and modify the whole list? I would have to do once per list, not 900 times.

This product has 2 color variables. But think I want to add a new color or delete one of them, it would affect my whole catalogue of product. So I would have to do it in all. If you check my website, you may think it is better not to do changes anymore…

This kind of feature is requested by some other guys that I met and have the similar “problem”. I would appreciate any comment about this and if I am wrong with the way I plan it.

@sutura have you tried to export your product into a spreadsheet modify then import it back with the new options?

(I advice you tried on a copy of your website so you don’t mess up you shop)

Hi Quentin,
I tried to do some tries importing and exporting and was not a good idea. The exported file was not very easy to work with and as you say, it could be dangerous if I fail. My catalogue would be destroyed haha :slight_smile:

May be I am not a good friend of spreadsheet files hehe
