Introduction
So I’m a person who likes travel & tourism, I have been around in the business ever since the beginning of the OTAs (like 28 years) … I work in cooperation with a world leader provider of holiday accommodations.
Collaboration type:
I’m searching for a sharp person with high programing skills, and who is also looking for a chance to earn a partnership in the company I’m building.
Project details:
The IT project takes its foundation from my Sustainable Business Model which accounts Nature as a customer. We are looking to design the platform from a new angle, one where the value creation of the booking service will offset the traveler (end user) eco-footprint from his/her travel/holiday by assigning an eco-donation, from every booking, for the benefit of nature conservation and/or support projects where local communities make their home a holiday destination, with a sustainable tourism conservation economy. For this project it is necessary to feel home with Velo and JavaScript, as one of the challenges will be to use Velo API to communicate with our suppliers assets via their own API.
Duration:
For the moment I have not set a specific duration as it is important to first define the feasibility of the project in relation to Velo Fetch API and my suppliers API.
Additional information:
If you are interested in the project, before sending a message please visit first my pilot website www.areweeks.com so you understand the product and business model.
To keep in mind: there are two type of assets to import, static and dynamic data. Static data will be save in a DB collection and the dynamic data will need to be fetched to verify the product availability (week offers with different types of rooms sizes from Studios to 3 bedrooms).
Ok, taken a small look onto your existing page.
There is a lot of potential to improve it.
The whole thing can certainly be staged much better.
If interested in longterm business-partnership with a coder —> velo-ninja@outlook.com.
I do not really recognise a well structured site.
-Why not divide your offered bookings into 4-SEASONS.
-Then using —> LOCATIONS
-Also i do not see as a user the ability to do FILTERING or SEARCH on your website.
- No complete page-overview given (sorry, some kind of chaotic → where is the structure?)
Some notes about design.
Well who ever has created this site or worked on it, did not really concentrate on design.
In your case → PARALAX-EFFECTS <— combined with NATURE and 2D/3D-like fore and backgrounds with maybe some animated landscape could make some magic on your site.
Correction → i could find a paralax effect on your site (not exactly like i was expacting it, but already happy to see it on your site).
Weather-APPs are a good indea, but again they do not really come into focus.
Also i can’t find a red-line on your site, where i can be guided easely through your site.
If your site was builded with Wix → and as i understand, you for sure did not use much codings on your site —> so i would say, like already before → there is a lot of potential on your site’s improvements.
Previat Dima,
- Yes the website has a structure
- I don’t care to divide offers on seasons, customers travel all year round
- New Destinations are provided in the landing page, and a user only needs to click to the image icon to get the Destination page.
- Yes a filter or search based on destination would be a plus.
• no offence taken, that is how you view it but not everyone sees it as you do.
About design:
In the OTA business the effects you mention do not drive to conversions or at least very little. Conversion drivers are base on other parameters, such as price, location, quality, sustainability.
• The red line is there, actually rather easy to jump from one destination to another with the ICONS destination which takes the user the page destination.
• Yes there is very little coding, but like i wrote areweeks.com is a pilot website, so here we are talking for an entire new website. What is you experience in the travel & tourism industry ?

Привет!
Yes, of course the points you mentioned are not inferior, but I am talking about the impact of your site.
I just described how I felt about your site as a NEUTRAL USER when I saw it. Navigation is difficult for me and you first have to familiarize yourself with your site. But working in means losing TIME. You should know that in this day and age no one really has time (our hectic world) and I’m sure out of 10 people who look at your site for the first time, 5 people will immediately close the site again without really leaving until the end to have combed through the CONTENT, at least not if your site has been recommended to the USER.
DESIGN + STRUCTURE + RED-LINE (guidance) + QUALITATIVE CONTENT —> that will be what defines a page.
Then of course there are many other things, including → SEO.
Regarding the question of whether I know the tourism industry, probably not as much as you do, but what I can say is that I travel from time to time and speak, among other things, 4 languages.
But as a coder, I don’t have to be a tourism guide, I just have to understand exactly what you want to achieve in order to conjure up a nice site with all the FUNCTIONALITIES and FEATURES.
Building a new site from scratch wouldn’t be such a bad idea!
