[Very angry customers, very easy fix] Wix Bookings coupon entry usability

We’ve just had to refund our (extremely angry) first two booking customers :cry:

The reason: a usability issue with Wix Booking coupon codes!

Users do not know to hit the arrow and apply the coupon, and end up paying full price (especially older users). They’re very very angry and won’t purchase from us again (“Shame on your company for such outlandish practices. Most unhappy with your company and … your unethical practice.” “I feel duped!”) We were reported to PayPal fraud :sob:

Three quick fixes to improve this catastrophic user issue (though any one would do!):

  1. Turn this text red like an error message
  2. Be more specific in the message: “Tap the arrow to apply the coupon"
  3. Change the arrow to a check mark, or better yet, “Apply” button

Can we make this happen Wix? Please?

I’ve tried inserting custom CSS to this message class in my header/body and as an iframe to at least change the text color, but nothing has worked so far. Your booking app is locked down! Please help.

Hey @lettie ,

I’m Shiri from the Editor X team, thank you for this great feedback.
We discussed this with our Bookings-Team and they are currently working on improving this experience, so stay tuned.

Amazing, thank you!!

Great news! We are happy to inform that we improved the coupon applying experience. :dizzy:
Now coupon is applied automatically also when clicking outside the coupon box or when clicking on the “Pay” button (in addition to clicking on the arrow in the coupon box)

:clap:YES thank you so much! I’m sure there will be many happier customers and no more PayPal fraud reports
