Question:
Why, when adding Wix Audio Player to my site, is it not able to be resized?
Product:
Either Wix Editor or Wix Studio Editor,
What are you trying to achieve:
I’m just trying to scale down the size of the audio player a little bit to fit the scheme of my layout.
What have you already tried:
Looked through the standard support articles, and attempted to see if there was an obvious code change I could make (I’m no coder, so I’m not even sure I know that I’m looking in the right place for it), searched Google, but no answers that I could find.

Same issue here (Wix Studio) - especially annoying when I want the audio player to be responsive like all my other elements. Only width seems to be changeable
Indeed.
It would also solve my problem from a design standpoint if it were possible to add some kind of re-scalable “Now Playing” element or widget linked to the primary Wix Music player that simply showed the title of the track (scrolling) with a “Play/Pause” button and linkable to the primary player.
I like to have the player start when the site first loads. While popular browsers like Chrome are blocking this feature until the visitor interacts with the page, I thought a “Now Playing” element that immediately showed the visitor that there is audio playing it would encourage them to interact with the site and allow the auto-play feature to engage . Even with a primary player that can’t be re-sized or scaled, I could keep the it further down the page, and I could place the “Now Playing” element somewhere like the page header, a pinned menu bar, or tucked up in the main HOME view at the top of the page highly visible and accessible to the visitor.
Too many ideas, not enough know how or patience to code it myself. lol
Hi Guys,
I just spoke with the help team with regards to the same problem i’m having in Wix Studio.
They’re telling me it’s possible to code the design of the music player with CSS.
Did you guys find a way to solve the issue for your sites? I’m looking for a coder to upgrade the design to what you used to be able to do in the old wix editor, a simple and clean circular music player icon that is scaleable.
Let me know if you got any further with it please.
King Regards,
David

Good to know we’re not alone. Haha!
That’s definitely above my pay grade. lol. I’m not a coder in any way, so this is beyond my own capabilities.
Nope, I sure didn’t. Just seems like functionality that should be pretty available though to the self site designers like me. Not sure why it isn’t.
If you get it figured out, please post your results! I don’t know code, but if I can see it I’m fairly decent at reverse engineering stuff.
I’ll do the same. If I end up finding something, I’ll absolutely post it, and any code/scripting here. Good luck!
Cheers!
CSS optimizations or design-changings will be possible only on Wix-Studio.
If you are working on the ordinary editor, you won’t have the chance to use CSS, as long as you do not code the whole PLAYER on your own in a CUSTOM-ELMENT or HTML-Component.
Here…
…you will find how to use CSS on Wix-Studio-Editor to change the design of your AUDIO-PLAYER.
Most of Wix-Element’s CSS can be modified in Wix-Studio-Editor.
Thank you very much for the assist! I’ll definitely check this out when I have a moment and report back.
Cheers!
Thank so much for sending this on, let me look into it aswell and see what we can do.
