Wix CLI publishing site issue

Question:
Hi Fellow Wixians!

I have a persistent issue with publishing my site from Wix CLI. I’ve been experiencing other issues with CLI on and off and overall I have the unfortunate impression that it feels like either a deprecated product, or an early access feature.

So whenever I try to publish a page from CLI running “wix publish” and selecting an option (either one), I’m persistently getting a “Failed to deploy site” error. Everything is up to date on both ends, and I have no explanation what might be happening.

I have been struggling with “wix dev” command which was also throwing errors a week or so back, but it resolved itself within several hours and I think it was a network failure. But this is really persistent.

Unfortunately, as I’ve already switched to CLI, I can’t publish the site along with the custom JavaScript from the online editor.

Product:

Wix Studio, Wix CLI 1.1.2 on Debian.

What are you trying to achieve:

Publish the website along with all the custom JavaScript I have written.

What have you already tried:

I had no problems publishing other copies of the website from the online editor, but introducing all the updates I have done on the master copy on which I’ve been working on the local editor would be a menace. Did anyone manage to publish websites through CLI lately?

Additional information:

It seems there was an issue with this version. If you upgrade to 1.1.3 it should work fine.

Unfortunately, not the case. Tried on Wix 1.1.3 from Debian and Mac OS, all with the same results. I moved the entire page off CLI, but still would be interested in solutions, I think CLI workflow is much better other than the deployment issue.

Is it the same error message?
