Hi,
This is Jo Kurino, a Wix Partner from Elitus Design in Japan.
I wanted to post this for all Wix Corvid coders to inquire about capabilities and a quotation.
I have attached a link to a similar post that I placed on the Wix Partner Community Forum for the Japanese audience as I am looking for a coder/programmer for this specific project:
Synopsis
I just recently finished a project for a client in Tokyo, from Wix Marketplace. The project was to complete settings for Zoom sessions via Wix Bookings App for a major Yoga studio that has multiple locations throughout Tokyo. This was needed as Japan is under a state of emergency like a lot of other companies throughout the world and this business took a quick step to provide its customers an opportunity to join sessions online.
Upon completion of the project, the business owner found a need in the market to provide instructors from different activities - whether it be fitness, music, cultural education, etc.- an avenue to quickly post their profile online and sell online lessons. And this is especially for clients that may not have the acumen to build their own Wix website, or they just don’t have the time to adapt during these tough times under economic duress. As a result, the client asked if I can possibly build a portal website/system to do the following:
-
Create a function to have potential instructors register their business and its details (Dynamic page form function)
-
While entering business information, he wants to provide a way for the person entering the information to be able to preview their work by having a window on the side. This is not an end-all-be-all. This is ideal, but if it is not possible, a normal dynamic page may suffice. I am just sure that the user would like to be able to preview and accept how the profile looks.
-
Upon completion of registration, the information would be entered into a database and linked to a dynamic page to show the profile of the instructor.
-
There would be a Wix Bookings service listed on the instructor’s profile.
-
Consumers looking for activities via online sessions will come to the website to search for classes since it’s a portal website.
-
The consumers visiting will be able to access profiles and sign-up through the app. Be able to make payments (PayPal, credit cards, Paid Plans, etc.)
-
Consumers will be able to participate in the sessions via Zoom.
-
Be able to send notifications/trigger e-mails.
-
Creation of a member page and being able to change entries to the profile page if necessary.
The client’s inspiration comes from BASE , a Japan-made free CMS to build e-commerce stores.
My client wants to flip it around and turn it into a forum to sign-up for online Zoom courses.
BASE website: https://thebase.in/
At the same time, if things are too complicated for the Wix platform, I am thinking of taking a page out of the website below, which is a mini-portal created using Wix to accommodate restaurant owners in the Tokyo metro area; which don’t have the ability nor time to build a website during this crisis. A hybrid between BASE and Take-out Tanomoyo maybe something that is realistic if simulating BASE is deemed too daunting.

If I am correct, a Wix Partner in Japan created this page.
I apologize that the above website is in Japanese. Hopefully, you can view Google translations via the Chrome browser.
Since the COVID-19 crisis is ongoing, my client wants me to find a Corvid coder and work to put together a plan (estimate/project flow) within a week. The ideal deadline is within the month. With that said, I would like to ask if this is possible. If not, what can be a remedy to provide the best product using Wix Corvid. At the same time, I would like to know what the estimated cost will be to complete such work. I understand that it may be complex to execute, along with the deadline. As a Wix Partner myself, I can do the design part, and willing to put together a team on my for the creative part. Corvid is where I need major help. I’m keen to find somebody in the next few days so I can put the plan together.
Attached are screenshots of how the BASE and Tanomoyo platform looks like for reference.
BASE
(Base - Top Page)
(BASE - Sign-up/Login)
(BASE - Terms and conditions after sign-up)
(BASE - E-commerce website Template creation = want to make this bookings sign-up function for Zoom)
(notifications page)
TAKE-OUT TANOMOYO
(top page)
(restaura nt search - most likely database/search/dynamic pages)
(restaurant profile page - want to be able to book sessions. The prospective website owner/client wants to be able to monitor sales. Users can register for free. In terms of payment, ideally, the consumer pays and a percentage goes to the site owner automatically so there is no hassle. Like, counting all the sales and having to disperse margins to each user later. Will a separate API be needed?)
(User/Restaurant owner registration page - It would be nice to just submit a database and have it show up on a dynamic page but even better if there was a live preview function. If not, atleast a preview page and a confirmation button. If the person registering to the website wants to go return and edit, they can click a “back/return” button. Hopefully, registering a business owner can sign-in as a member and edit their profile where required. )
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. And if you need a video call, I can arrange for one.
