Wix is always working to update and improve their products, so all Partners feedback is hugely appreciated. For some Feature Requests votes are collected, from all Wix’s clients, and Wix keeps all who voted updated about it. Wix then develops and releases the most voted Feature Requests.

Feature Request: ADI Drop-Down and Collapsible Text Box

Currently, it is not possible to add a drop-down feature to a text box ( a COLLAPSIBLE text) which your visitors can click to expand a text and read more details and secondary information without leaving the page (all content that the site owner does not want to keep on the fixed text for not overcrowding the page).

The workaround is a Light Box, but this means creating many more pages, making the site heavier and the ADI publishing times significantly longer.

This feature is seen in various website that are created with other platforms, especially on their Mobile Version (there is a + sign to expand the text, or a v sign, or a Read More writing, and taping on those the text expands to read more info)

ADI Request: Adding Wix Pdf Viewer (to flip through a Pdf pages without downloading it)

Currently, it is not possible to add on ADI a Pdf Viewer to display a PDF in a flipable style, without having to embed it from elsewhere like Issue, Flipbook or Yumpu (which not only are paid services to work properly, but are also badly integrated, as the visualization of their embedded site not works on mobile).

It would be great to have as a feature or App the option to upload and display PDF documents directly on our sites, making the PDF accessible to all users on desktop and mobile and without downloading it (some users fear a download can have viruses that can be harmful to their devices, so the pdfs are nor viewed).

Feature Request: revert Google Calendar Synchronisation process in the Booking Product to previous recent version, as the new is too faulty and it takes far too long

In light of the enormous amount of malfunctioning of the CODE for the NEW VERSION OF THE Booking App, and in functions of this app (Wix Calendar access, Google calendar sync) I KINDLY REQUEST TO THE BOOKING PRODUCT DEVELOPERS TO PLEASE REVERT THE CALENDAR SYNC TO THE PRIOR PROCESS, that is video-casted and uploaded at evolutionmcb.com/contractors

Please view the following faults in the Booking App new version, which I have evidenced with screen-casts at www.evolutionmcb.com/contractors :

1. the location for the booked service in the email confirmation and on the booking confirmation page is wrong : it shown as 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington: this is the White House, not my location. (My locations are all “on zoom”, with small variations on the second part of the zoom descriptions: I have one Zoom location for each set of hours, because for different appointments the same contractors want to make available different hours, so to allow this I set multiple Zoom locations, and I can assign different available hours to each one)

2. the client does not receive the email confirmation after checks out a service, and when they add the service to their calendar, from the confirmation page, the log does not include the zoom streaming details as in the contractors calendar log (in my test that I screen-casted I used the email cristinafromengland@gmail.com for taking the role of the client in the booking process and test the functioning; I used the email evolutionmcb@gmail.com for taking the role of the contractor in the booking process and test it; finally, my business owner email in the test is info@evolutionmcb.com. This should make it easier to follow my screen-cast test)

3. My new member of staff are suspicious about and haven’t accepted the “Wix invite to collaborate on a website” that is now a pre-requirement to invite them to sync their Google Calendar (while with the prior procedure 18 mo staff synched). This is due to the enormous confusion they faced because when logging into their new Wix account they’ve got all your Wix prompts to create a WebSite, therefore they think I’m scamming them into collaborating into building a website, or thing that I work in Sales/marketing at Wix and I try to force them to build websites. Therefore, not accepting the invite to collaborate, my Site, called Evolution Wellness, does not show on the Wix account of the new members of staff who need to view their calendars, and I cannot send them invites to sync calendars.

FEATURE REQUEST for Booking Product : no logs of Group Classes without booked clients on the staff’s synched Calendars

I request that only when Group Classes are booked by clients the members of staff have a log for their group classes time and day on their Synched Google Calendar:

in the same way that it works for 1:1 appointments (they don’t get calendar placeholders for all available default bookable hours for 1:1!! In the same way, they should not get placeholders for all the available group class times)

When group classes are scheduled for the members of staff, these members of staff gets on their Synchronised Google calendars the placeholder logs for all the future Regular Group Classes, even if no one books to attend these classes!

This is very damaging for the Members of Staff, because the logs for all the unattended “classes at regular time” (the placeholders for classes in the future) work as ‘blocked time’ inputs from their personal Google-calendars, and show on the Wix owner calendar as “busy” hours, canceling out hours even in the ‘available irregular hours’ that the same members of staff have set for 1:1 appointments

Feature Request for Multilingual Editor app

Currently, it is possible to translate in one go an entire website/eCommerce platform only 1 time, and after that first time, if something new is added to the site, one has to translate manually text-box by text-box: this is unreasonable and not mentioned anywhere, to know it before starting to use the Multilingual app.

Therefore, it would be better to have the 'translation of the whole site in 1 go" also after the very first translation (vs the current feature that requires a manual input for the translation on each text box, on each page on the site, for each language!)

Also, some words are translated in other languages with erroneous meaning and they are to edit one by one, even when the translation error is the same on all pages (e.g. the English verb “book”, meaning on the site “reservation of a service”, is translated on other languages with the noun meaning of "printed written work, consisting of pages glued or sewn together along one side and bound in covers).

It would be great to have a “change X with Y” function as in Excel and Word, to substitute " translated word X with Y" , across the entire site/eCommerce platform

The description field for Services should have the same formatting options as the description field for Events. I want to be able to format text (bold, italic, bullet points, etc) and most importantly add hyperlinks.

FEATURE IMPROVEMENT PROPOSAL FOR THE BOOKING APP (for APPOINTMENTS)

1. allowing to set services appointments either as “bookable by 1” or “bookable by many clients”

2. showing the 1 hour appointments on timetable when the appointment is for multiple attendants

In this way, you allow Regular Classes to be at the same time all the following, and suitable also for independent contractors:

A. flexible to the time that who delivers them has available

(to go around this, at the moment I need to use appointment for classes, even if only 1 person can book the class, and I need to create 1 different location for each class, so I can assign different hours to each location. If I don’t do this, clients see in the booking calendar page of each regular class ALL the available hours of a contractor, not only the hours of each class. They are not employees: to stay contractors, they need to decide WHEN they work.)

B. logged on the Google Calendar of the staff who is delivering them only if at least 1 person books them

(at the moment, even if no one books a class the members of staff get in their personal Google Calendar a log of a scheduled regular class, when there only difference with a class that is actually booked is that the log has a zoom link. My members of staff don’t want these logs if there are no clients who paid the class, as these logs ‘block time’ that is otherwise offered for 1:1 irregular hours appointments)

C. not shown as available when the staff who delivers them ‘blocked time off’ at the time of the class

(at the moment, the expected behaviour for scheduled classes in a calendar is that if a member staff goes on holidays - and blocks all the days that is away on Google Calendar on their business calendar on their Wix.com - the classes that have to be delivered by the member of staff don’t get cancelled, because who programmed the Regular Classes Calendar made the wrong assumptions that classes go on even if someone is on holidays, thinking that another member of staff can cover who is absent! This is true only for businesses who have employees, but I for those as me who have independent contractors, it is not legally viable: classes have to be as appointments, and offered only when the member of staff who delivers them is available. In fact, by law, to be INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS, they have to work WHEN, WHERE and HOW they want, and if I change this, by law they become employees and have to be paid even when there is no clients booking them, which I cannot afford. YOUR CLASSES SETTINGS WORK OK FOR EMPLOYEES ONLY: FOR WHO HAS CONTRACTORS AS MYSELF, THE REGULAR CLASSES CURRENT FEATURES ARE NOT SUITABLE)

D. shown on a timetable, which is the preferred way to book fitness classes for clients all over the world

(at the moment, to have a timetable - and at the same time avoid to have logs of blocked time for all the unbooked regular classes in my members of staff calendars - I have to duplicate the contractors who offer classes, and create the classes only with their staff-duplicate, which isn’t linked to their Google Calendar. So my staff has an email confirmation and calendar log for each class only when someone books)

IN THE SCREENSHOTS BELOW YOU CAN SEE MY CURRENT WORKAROUND TO USE APPOINTMENTS FOR CREATING THE POSSIBILITY TO BOOK IRREGULAR GROUP CLASS: THIS IS DONE ASSIGNING A DIFFERENT LOCATION TO EACH SET OF HOURS THAT IS PERTINENT TO EACH CLASS (however, this has its downsides: 1. only one person pre group class can book, and 2. in the confirmation email the clients don’t get the location name but the placeholder-physical-address that I had to input to create VARIOUS ZOOM LOCATION NAMES, to assign to each a different set of bookable hours in the BOOKNG CALENDAR PAGES FOR EACH).

Maybe this workaround can help to develop the 2 features that I proposed here for the Appointments product in the Wix Booking App … even just allowing to create different locations without a physical address is a first fix, and then allowing to book more than 1 person per appointment is the next, and finally finding a way to have a timetable for appointments, so that they can be used as irregular classes

@stevenjose FYI … in case you can kindly add all of this in the Internal Logs for new features … This is important to make the classes legally feasible also for business models that use contractors rather than employees, as contractors need to be able to choose WHEN to work, and they cannot be managed, to maintain the legal status of independent contactors and be paid only when I assign them work (that is: I have to pay them only when the clients book them, not when they’re available)

I sow in horror that the Services Listing in the ADI Booking App doesn’t allow to hide the length of service on the Mobile version and this is a major issue:

in fact, in the web version I write the length and location on the service title, and I hide it in the service listing, and all is well, as in packages of 10 hours people book only the 1st hour but know they are buying 10 sessions of 1 hour each from the title.

But in the mobile version, I cannot hide the length, so I find the 10 x 1 hours packages showing to the clients that they are buying only 1 hour, and mobile is what clients check the most!!!

This has created some confusion to visitors to my website that abandoned it (as it looks a scam and not professional by giving conflicting information on the app version on mobile, and also all of my 24 contractors don’t want to show in the social media the links to their 100s of pages for booking them)

Please, have the ADI mobile version of the services listing with some settings as on the desktop version, so that I can hide the length of the serviceI!

IMAGES TO ILLUSTRATE THE SHORTCOMINGS OF NO SETTINGS ON THIS APP (THE SERVICES LISTING THE BOOKING APP) ON MOBILE ARE HERE:

You can see here that I changed the total hours of the dietitians packages, but this means that when they have a 12 weeks package with a total Zoom time of 2.5 hours the clients need to block 2.5 hours all together in the dietitian calendar booking page!! And some dietitians don’t have that many hours in a row as the total of a package that spreads them in 12 weeks!

You can also see that the desktop version shows the services hiding the time length and place:
this is great as I can write these in the title and there is no lenght-contradictory info for clients

However, on the mobile app I cannot edit any settings, so it shows the length and I have to put the total that is spread on 12 weeks, as otherwise clients thinks they buy 1 hour in 12 weeks!
But as said, this means clients need to block in the dietian calendar boking page 2:5 hours, and sometimes the dietians don’t have the available total time of 12 weeks all together in a day.

For the personal trainers I cannot change the hours to 12, to avoid conflicting info between what the title says - that is 12 hours - and what the information below contradicts saying 1 hr

Here another example of a personal trainer for whom I cannot change the hours to 16-20, to avoid conflicting info between what the title says and what info below contradicts stating 1 hr
