Wix Store: redirect to an external url when check out

Hello,

I want to use Wix Store to display a large collection of items, using the filtering system. But i don’t sell the product on the the website. So i want to redirect to an external shop, when the visitor click on buy.

It looks complicated as Wix doesn’t allow to customize the link of the Buy button. I have aslo tried redirection (301 redirect) but it doesn’t work as it redirects the product page itself.

Any idea or workaround to achieve this ? I would like to use Wix store that better structures the data and support adavanced filtering without too much pain. But i’m stucked with this payment process.

Are you using the classic Wix editor or Wix Studio?

In Wix Studio, you can modify the functionality of the Buy Now button using Velo code.

I use Wix studio. So it’s a kind of a good news. Bad news is : I don’t know how to code/use Velo :sweat_smile:.

If there is a tutorial about this specific workaround , I might give a try though

I’m not aware if there is a specific tutorial for this exact functionality, but I’ve implemented this for multiple websites before, and that involves writing code.

Then I’d suggest not using Wix Stores, simply use the CMS and repeaters with datasets and dynamic pages to replicate a store-like layout, where you will have a good amount of control over the functionality and filtering without using code.

Or if you want to keep using Wix Stores and want this functionality on thr Buy Now button, then I’d recommend reaching out to a Velo developer for this.
