It would be a nice feature to entice our customers into earning a discount code (which value could be set by the site owner, like 5% or 10% off) by referring their friends and family to use our website.

This could be linked within the Site Members feature by generating a unqiue referral code for each customer, and when a new customer uses that referral code then the customer who referred them was receieve 1 point (in which again the site owner could choose how many referalls they need to receive a discount code)

Agreed, this would be a great feature. Does anyone know if there is currently a way to do this?

This is possible with Wix Code. You will need to make your store entirely with Wix Code though.

All I can say is that you need to be creative and methodical to make a portal like this.

Wix is getting on my nerves. delaying posts, not having xml uploads, etc…they should do better. I am a paid member. My money is earned the hard way…they can’t sit back and make promises. Like a code that will allow websites to give points? What is so difficult for them to get that done? I would use it! damnnn themmm I might just buy an expensive joomla template and roll on man

I also don’t understand why Wix does’t have some kind of reward scheme functionality within the templates when its competitors already do!

Yeah, c’mon Wix!! e-commerce is not only the future… it is a lifeline to many business’s right now. A simple referral app/program to add to our websites would help your customers business grow who in turn would need/want a more premium service from WIX. Think big picture!!!
