Wix video player zoom to fill?

On a wix strip if you add a rectangle video but the strip sixe means the box is a square, it will zoom in on the video to fill the box. I have had to scrap the strip video due to auto play problems on mobile, and on wix video player the thumbnail of the video shows zoomed to fill, but when playing the video zooms out to its actual resolution/ ratio leaving black strips top and bottom. How can I get it to zoom? Workaround?
