under setting>booking Policy>Limit late bookings>set to 1 day.
The seeded/default booking doesn’t allow booking for today, honoring Limit Policy . Rightfully it says, “Date is not available”
However, the API: wixBookings.getServiceAvailability shows slot available for today 16 July

1 year later, this bug is still not fixed
I have been asking wix for this for 8 years.
the “limit late bookings” is about how late before the start of the booking can someone book. e.g. you want minimum of 1 day notice for customers to book before booking service start time. Which is a good feature. means if you don’t have enough customers for the service you could cancel the session.
However
Limit late bookings for wix does not mean you’re allowing customer to book and pay 1 day after the booking, which is the feature I want and the feature that you all seem to want.
The new forth setting that WIX must have is late arrival length for bookings. Where admins can set how many minutes or hours (maybe 50% of length of service) that someone can book “after” booking service start time.
for example
- customers can book and pay upto 50% through the Service Length. or;
- customers can book and pay upto 30minutes after booking has started or;
- customers can book and a day after booking occurred time occurred;
Wix you need to implement this.
