Apparently the above issue is resolved now, but I have noticed a likely related issue which started around the same time, and is of grave concern:
Across all the sites I designed, any element which has a scrolling effect applied, whether it be an image/video, strip, image in a column, or shape dividers, since around 1-2 weeks displays a coloured bar along its top (in its selected background colour, or white if none was selected, shading, or an image background), which becomes part of the scrolling effect at the top, pushing the image down somewhat.
Interestingly this error does not show up under Preview, but only on the published site, and only on non-current versions of Chrome. One can of course simply turn off the effect on all effected elements to avoid the error, but this is significantly downgrading the design!
Needless to say, this very visible error affects a HUGE number of users, as most of us have been using scrolling effects in the Editor, and a HUGE number of site visitors, as many of us do/can not always remain on the latest version of Chrome.
I understand that new features will be optimised to work with the latest versions of chrome, but Wix, pls maintain existing functionality, to not sabotage years of work of Wix users.
After contacting the Wix helpline which wasn’t very interested in the subject, I’m now trying to figure out how I’m going to explain this to a decade’s worth of design clients that their sites aren’t displaying correctly anymore… and what am I going to do for them about it?
Can this issue be escalated here?
Thanks for any input, direction or advice!
